There is a unique story behind each Wind Phone that is best told by its creator and/or steward. No one can tell it the way they can, so to that end, the format for Featured Wind Phone stories is to share the creator/steward's responses to the interview questions verbatim in their own voice. Sharing our stories helps us to connect and heal and may inspire someone else to create or visit a Wind Phone.

This week's Featured Phone is in Clarksville, Tennessee; Freah Price created this beautiful Wind Phone placed in a gorgeous, wooded area in Billy Dunlop Park. Freah is a Death Doula and although she recently moved back to Ohio, she has a local steward caring for her Wind Phone. Thank you, Freah, for sharing your Wind Phone with us.
Where is your Wind Phone located?
Clarksville, Tennessee
Billy Dunlop Park, Clarksville, TN
If you walk straight towards the field (past the playground), it is on the left-hand side of the wooded area.
What year and month did you place your Wind Phone at this location?
August 2022
Why did you choose this location?
I chose this area because there are many people who visit this park, and it is a very peaceful area where a river is located.
Is your Wind Phone dedicated or in memory of someone special?
My inspiration came from researching the wind phone and the stories I’ve heard of how much it has helped people during grief (including myself). I wanted to give my community a place to grief and experience solace in a way that gives them an outlet to say all of the unsaid.
Do you have any advice for someone thinking of creating a Wind Phone?
Let your creativity shine!
I'd love to feature your phone! You can find all the information here to submit your Wind Phone.
